The panels can be glued on or screwed on to anything and are very light and resilient. Personally we've used construction adhesive and made little bubbles with them and sat the Sunpower E-Flex panels right on to provide a strong mount to unusual surfaces, even a roof. They can even be mounted to a clay roof.
What's important to understand is that because this panel uses the proprietary Maxeon Sunpower cells, their efficiency is noticeably better and more true in various lighting conditions compared to other companies' cells. It's just inherently better technology which means your flexible panel will serve your power needs for decades to come with no degradation in performance like conventional flex panels.
